One of my favorite shows and characters as a teen. Sad to think you could seem reasonably healthy one day and gone a month later at age 44 from lung cancer as a non smoker.

Terrible story but as my DW has told me (I haven't read the stories) he waited and Waited and WAITED to go to the doc for his issue(s). Not saying that the outcome would be different, but perhaps. And I feel bad that he was forever type-cast as "Screech"

One of my favorite shows and characters as a teen. Sad to think you could seem reasonably healthy one day and gone a month later at age 44 from lung cancer as a non smoker.

He had problems. He was convicted of stabbing someone in a bar in 2015 and later had his probation revoked because he tested positive for oxycodone. I don't know that he was a non-smoker.

A guy I worked with was a Diet Coke addict. I used to see him go through most of a 12-pack during a shift. A couple years ago he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and he was dead within six weeks.

He recorded a farewell video after he got his terminal diagnosis, and his final gesture on the vid was to pop open a bottle of Diet Coke and take a swig.
