Had bath redone, new tile, new glass door etc...
Closing up the backside of shower and found this bit in closet slide rail.
Not sure what it is for, my guess would be tile or glass with work done next to closet door.
Went and looked at Lowes/Home depot drill bits and nothing looks like this:confused:?

WHATSIT:confused::confused:?

The placement of the through-hole reminds me of a tool for placing spline in old style car windshield rubber.
Or if it was spun then a couple wires could be twisted together, like for a drop ceiling or maybe a group of ground wires for the 120V wiring?

So that hole goes through from the point to the side? Like at ~ 45 degree angle?

Is it just a countersink bit?

That's it ERD.... No clue why they needed it for work done in bath?

Thanks.

Yep you guys are right - a countersink bit. I haven’t ever done or seen a flat head screw countersunk in tile. Every screw I’ve put through tile was fastening a fixture to the tile wall, and I used a round head screw and a standard tile bit. And the screws were covered by face plates.

If you do want to drill glass or tile, a piece of tubing and some abrasive slurry works well.
