I was just doing a check on one of the credit reporting agencies for my free credit report for the year - and there was a check on there from CBNA.

When I looked them up on the internet - they are

Credit Bureau of North America - Collections Specialists

Since I have never had anything in collections - what were they doing with my credit report - and what right would they have to look at it? My report clearly states I am never late, and have had no disputes.

Not sure why this entity would be looking, but credit reports contain an area where firms who want to market something to you have looked at your credit. These marketing inquiries don't affect your score/credit. Generally people with great credit have these. On an Experian report it is called "Requests for your credit history."

Since CBNA is an Experian affiliate, you can inquire about the request via experian.
