If you're talking about Manhattan, everyone delivers. Grocery store, cleaners, regular stores, sit down restaurants, wine stores. Everyone.

I'm in Northern Calif. where my primary concern is staying within HMO boundaries as it would be very difficult to get other health insurance. All those delivery options are something I've gotten very used to while getting along without a car. City/suburb/small town/rural all have their pluses and minuses.
