Quick question: My wife is inheriting a small amount of money along with several siblings - everything being divided equally. Being the more financially savvy of us, she would rather I handle a lot of the questions/tasks etc that need to be handled, but the executors of the estate won't deal with me as a spouse of the heir - would a power of attorney give me all the 'rights' I need to act on her behalf?

One option is that she stop answering verbal questions with a 'I need to get back to you on that'. Then you can work with her on the answer. Written correspondence is easy, you draft the answer for her signature. If the executors raise a question she can tell them that you two work together, that the decision is hers.

She might learn some things that will help in the future.
