We have Brighthouse for TV, phone, and cable. Last month the monthly bill went from $130 to $140. Bill and previous bill in hand, I went to the local Brighthouse office and asked what happened. The customer service guy started playing around on his computer as customers backed up behind me. After a few minutes, he looked up and said "I think you're going to like this. I found a deal for you." Bottom line: my new bill is $105 a month. I guess they really want to stop losing so many customers. Moral of the story - if you don't like what they charge you, don't be afraid to ask for a better deal. They won't give you a break automatically.
