I am considering to enroll in Vangued Managed Account Program for my 401k. Instead of 0.3% management fee in Vanguard Personal Advisor Services, Managed Account Program charges less less than 0.3%. Has anyone had any experience with the program (pros and cons)? Thanks.

Depends on how much you're going to give them

Q. How much does the Vanguard Managed Account Program cost?

A. Vanguard has arranged a program fee of 0.40% for the first $100,000, 0.30% for the next $150,000, 0.20% for the next $250,000 and the annual program fee for any additional assets is 0.10%.

Pick the Target Date fund that matches your mix of stocks and bonds. Not the one based on when you might retire.

Done. Saved you .4 or .3 or .1%

Interesting idea... I just realized that once my PenFed CDs mature if I move that money back to my tIRA that the target AA in my tIRA will ~40/60 so perhaps I'll go all in on Wellesley in that account and just ride it.

Wellesley has ~99 stocks and ~300 bonds.

A Target Date fund (2015) or LifeStrategy Conservative Growth (40/60) with Total US, Total Int, Total US Bond and Total Int Bond has 10,000 stocks and >10,000 bonds.

Buy the whole haystack.
