Gave my notice...
yesterday. I'll be retiring after 28 years as a reference librarian in a public library September 10, right after I turn 55.
Life is good.

Way to go! Now that you're about to retire, you'll have more time to actually read some of those library books.

Congratulations. Now you will be able to get away from those reference books and read something in another section.

Treat yourself to some Johnsonville brats, Sprecher, a Kringle, and a fish fry. Not necessarily in that order.
Congratulations from a once-and-always fellow Wisconsinite.

The correct order for Day One is:
Kringle and Alterra Coffee
Johnsonville with kraut for lunch
Fish fry for dinner, particularly bluegill........

As a Sheboygan county resident, as much as I like me some kringle, I'd have to have an Ole Bolen or a cruller (pronounced "crawler") with my coffee.
I prefer onions on my brat, and put that on a City Bakery hardroll. I put kraut on polish sausage or kransky.
Bluegill is fine eating, but I like a perch fish fry, with fries, cole slaw and rye bread.
