I'll start off 2021 with some photos generated from video screen grabs from our hike earlier in the week at the Star Trek Historic File Site (Vasquez Rocks). I'm making a video of this location including scoring the soundtrack with sounds similar to the background music and sound effects but not by copying actual sounds from the episodes of from Star Trek to avoid copyright issues.

I finished the edit late last night of the video of our hike around the iconic Star Trek Historic Film Site. It's good to get away and get fresh air and some solitude. This is a popular location where many feature films have been shot in addition to the many generations of the Star Trek series.

Last year I submitted a few shots to a small magazine photo contest. Recently they notified me that I had won the Grand Prize and some money! This is the winner: La Salle Falls in Starved Rock State Park, Illinois.

Very nice Dr. Roy! I’ve been there probably 100 times and you captured it best.

Thanks, Not fun out taking photos in the snow, but the snow/cold has brought back some eagles. This is a juvenile bald eagle.

A sign of the times. Costco is closing all in-store photo centers. Some services will be available online.
