It's Wednesday weigh ins! 2007-2022

I am down to 218 and was at 275 or so last spring and 284 at the highest with my pituitary problems...I have been pretty aggressive the last 2 months and lost 20+ pounds adding some high intensity interval training and more pushups and small weights....would like to be at 195-200 range.

Still 130#, but happy to have not gained more!

Height: 5' 7.5" Build: Medium
Start: Weight at end of day, with clothes on but no shoes: 141# Waist 27"
Today: 135.5# Waist 26"
Goal: 133#, body fat 20% (have to get my BF measured at the gym).

Re-reading my posts I realize I almost sound like I'm bragging, but just like finances, it's harder to toot your horn to people in person (more embarrassing?) where as an anonymous message board feels safer to just spew the truth, good or bad!

What helped me to lose my weight and keep it off. I keep a food journal and wrote down portions and exactly what I ate. It makes you accountable :whistle:

Today, 3/26/09, 125.8lbs. I didn't get around to weighing myself yesterday.
 
Seems like a lot of people are making good progress. Unfortunately I can't say the same. DH switched jobs which involved making a visa run to Australia, so for the last 5 weeks we have been living in hotels. As a consequence our diets are awful, jetlag is looming large and we haven't had a decent sleep for 6 weeks or so. I hate to think what my weight now is. However, I did start back at the gym this week. I am hoping we find somewhere to live soon as we so badly need routine to get ourselves back on track.
 
Laurence (and others), reporting your progress is not bragging in the least. Hearing about others' successes is very motivational even for people like me who read this thread but do not often post to it. So keep it up!

how tiresome for you, DM. I assume you're taking advantage of what fitness facilities are available, and resisting the temptation of room service? Here's hoping your lives settle down real soon.

I'm doing a house hunting tour today with a relocation specialist so hope we find something and get out of here soon. I have gone to the gym in the hotel a couple of times a week, our biggest problem is lack of sleep and jetlag. We are so tired. Who knew that I could miss a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries so much.

Oatmeal is known as porridge in Australia. You probably knew that, but one time in England I was with a colleague who had been to England many times and one morning at breakfast his eyes were opened when I ordered porridge :LOL:

Well, the diet I was on last week worked pretty well, but one always hopes for more. My low was 195.6 at 16.4% fat last Friday. So now that I've had a chance to settle back a bit, it has rebounded as I expected it would. 3 1/2 to 4 pounds of weight loss that is sticking from a 6-diet isn't too bad. Hoped for a little more, because this means I should probably undergo the diet again in a few weeks.

I ended up with a fever of 104 late last week, so exercise wasn't happening for a few days. I cranked the exercise back up over the last two days without issue, so I seem to be better.

I had a bad week, we had a lot going on as a family and it got in the way of good nutrition and exercise.

However, based on how quickly I can lose weight, I am not worried. I leave for vacation to SC on April 10th, and my goal IS and WAS to be under 230 when I go, I am sure I can get there.

The vacation will be a test. My aunt is a Midwestern girl transplanted in South Carolina for the last 35 years. She can whip up vittles that make ya cry.......:D

I won't post much if at all when I am on vacation from April 10th-20th. I will be seeing Sarah in SC for the first time when we go to Charleston. I will take some pics and hopefully post them on here........:D

A pretty decent first monthly report. Almost fully recovered from the Christmas season crash and burn.

I think this is going to work out better for me. The weekly ups and downs were a bit frustrating. This way I'm not stressing over my weight all the time. DW is working on her eating too, and we have only eaten out twice in the last month. This is for a couple that used to eat out 3-5 times/week. Makes it much easier to manage the weight, not to mention decreasing our spending significantly.

I'm still watching the thread every week. It's interesting to see how everyone else is doing, both positive and negative. However, Dawg, "see" is just a figure of speech. :yuk:

When we went to Brazil in November for my son's wedding I hit a new all-time high of 204 lbs. When we returned, I changed my eating habits to low fat, lots of fruit, no red meat. I have made steady progress since then. I am now down to 185.8. My goal is 183 by the time of his second wedding ceremony here in the US in May. I have bought new pants that are a size smaller (36 waist vs. 38). I would actually like to keep the weight loss going and try to get down to 178 by the end of the summer.

I'm adding more exercises to my week, but still out-partying my healthy weeks on the weekends. No weight loss to report, but I'm getting stronger at least!
Next week starts my 6 week hooping class--looking forward to mixing that in with the trainer and pole dancing that are both 2x a week.

Foot is getting better but still not 100%, found a good cure for it though. I quit drinking all soda on February 26th. After the 2nd week I had withdrawls but I guess I am not longer wanting soda, I drink a lot more water and some vitamin water here and there.
