Has anyone written a book for the lay person on the science of fasting? It would discuss the impacts, benefits, disadvantages and explain them in terms understood by the average person? but also not some pop culture woo woo?

I am a quick learner, but can be quickly turned off by People magazine and Tabloid style presentations...

Thanks

There's "The Complete Guide to Fasting" by Jason Fung. Fung is a kidney specialist who uses fasting in his medical practice.

Look up Dr. Sten Ekburg on You Tube

I've listened to a number of his podcasts over the years and do like him. You inspired me to see if any of his books were available at my local library as I am interested in healthy eating and I was able to download "The Obesity Code."

Not sure why you want to learn about fasting, but I watched a lecture series on Jason Fung's youtube channel called "Obesity Code Lecture" years ago. I have also listened to his book called Diabetes Code. Both were excellent and easy to understand. He's known for his recommendations on intermittent fasting for weight loss/diabetic control, etc.

One of Jason's Fungs newer Youtube interviews popped up on my phone yesterday.
