? why cant the bacteria be cultured , then a targeted , an injectable antibiotic be prescribed ?

We asked DW's ENT this exact question and he said it wasn't possible to do a culture because they're unable to get to the location they need to get it. Instead, he prescribed Doxycycline for 10 days. This must have been her 4th or 5th different antibiotic. She started doing a nasal rinse with Budesonide added to it at the same time. Not sure which one worked but one of them did and she is now clear and able to taste and smell again after over a year of trial and error.
