All 6 New England states rank in the top 7 spots for quality of care, including Mass (where I am from) at #3.

Hawaii ranks highest overall, but middle-of-the-road for quality.

The Commonwealth Fund ranked the health-care-system performance of all 50 states and the District of Columbia, aggregating measurements in 32 benchmarks spread across five categories: access to health care (determined by the number of insured residents); quality of care; unnecessary hospital use and procedures; equity of access based on income and ethnicity; and the overall health of the population. The average of all these measurements determined a state's rank.

I am embarrassed and shocked that Texas is dead last or close (49th). We have the best leadership that money can buy (Rick Perry) - handpicked by George W. Bush.

Peace
