Cell Phone Service - Masa Mara & Ngorogono Crater

Would anyone share their experience with cell phone service in this region of the world? We have T-mobile (USA) and will be on a 2 week safari in July and wonder what is available.

I was in both preserves about ten years ago and can't remember whether cell phone service availability was good. We had wifi in hotels. But all of Africa is highly dependent on cellular so I suspect cell service is available anywhere there are towns or hotels. Within the Ngorogoro crater or out in the bush in Mara Mara probably not.

I never tried the cell, but even off-grid camps with solar power seemed to have satellite wifi/internet. This is really a question for your travel arranger.

We were in Tanzania last August. We had T-Mobile cell service all throughout Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Zanzibar. Also, all of the camps we stayed at had good WiFi. No issues with comms at all.
