Take the back road from Munising to Grand Marais - beautiful! Duluth has an excellent malt shop on the water. Split Rock lighthouse North of Duluth - spectacular! The glass bottom boat tour in Munising is nice and take the pictured rocks boat tour.

I suggest you see Tahquamenon Falls, second largest east of the Mississippi. We liked the campground just downstream. The lower falls were better than the upper, and I think easier to get to.

While you are there, you are within a hour of White Fish Point lighthouse, and the location of the shipwreck museum. This is also in the area where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down with all hands back in the November gales of 1975.
