Lately, whenever I use Gmail the scrollbar disappears on my IE, and I can't scroll down to read my emails. I've searched the internet to no avail, and you all seem to be experts in everything so I was hoping someone here could help me. Any ideas? I'm using Windows 98 and IE6.

I have tried Firefox and liked a LOT about it. Unfortunately,
the one negative outweighed all the positives - it brought
my Mac OSX G4 to its KNEES ! Load average goes up to
about 3 when I run it - it's so bad that I can't even really
scroll a window very effectively (at least not while the
page is loading).

Asked at their forum and some douche-bag seemed more
concerned with correcting my posting style (can't remember
if he wanted me to top-post or bottom-post) than in helping
me. Offered a pointer to a FAQ that told me to turn off
"add ons" and it worked for a few days but now things are
as bad or worse again.

JohnEylyes, try Camino. FireFox seemed to bog down on me sometimes, but I do keep dozens of windows with dozens of tabs open.

Camino is derived from the Mozilla code that FireFox is, but it is Mac specific version. A little different, but it seemed much snappier to me. Took me a while to get it configured the way I want, but I'm pretty happy with it now.

I am also a big Camino fan. I use it as my primary browser and Safari as a second browser for some sites. Both seem to work fine with Gmail. Once in awhile after a Camino session has ran for a month or so it gets in a bad state and takes lots of CPU cycles. I just quit and restart and it is fine.
