dividends increasing

I update the dividends that companies and funds pay in a haphazard, when I get around to it manner, that could be from 3 months to a year.

The last time I had done it I got hammered with a lot of reductions and a few stopping. Pretty much all of our individual holdings pay dividends or did when acquired.

I noted by a non precise manner that most of my stuff increased maybe 7 cents a share on average this time. A few did drop or stop but effect overwhelmed by the trend. I notice banks had increased some. Income per month was significantly increased.

I know fed actions and bank relative strength was a factor but was curious if others have noticed or track this too.

Just FYI. Seeking Alpha is a great tool for tracking dividend growth.

You should be able to find dividend info on all your stocks there.

Last five year div growth average for me has been 8.66%.

We've noted a moderate increase as well (all MFs). Our 2018 year-end dividends in particular were the best since we started tracking them 16 years ago, up ~8% from our previous best year.

HOWEVER, this month's dividends (June) were down slightly from last year; not sure why.
