Yesterday was a pleasant sunny 55 degrees so I decided to go for a drive and see how the harvest is coming along. I was on a gravel road driving by a cornfield with a combine working in it. All of a sudden a small flock of turkeys came running out of the field so I stopped to let them get across; just as I was ready to go again 3 white tailed deer came running out. I thought I would wait a couple of minutes to see if anything else was in there and was rewarded by seeing a black bear also fleeing the field. All in all a nice day.
Smoked a butt overnight...
Smoked a butt overnight and just had a magnificent pulled pork sandwich.
My braumeister, you are slow... Mom smokes a couple packs a day...
I'm giving our sunroom a deep cleaning. Today when I took one of the screens out to clean the window, the trimwork/mullion at the top fell out. It's all rotten, and was only being held in by the screen. I put a call in to the contractor who built the room. We need to fix this, I'm just hoping that there will be some warranty coverage from Andersen (it's a 400 series window).
Perhaps I would've found this earlier if I were a more diligent housekeeper...

And it's one less item of "stuff" that I'd never use again to deal with.
Sorry to hear that. Was the diagnosis just from looking at the CT or did she test for dementia in the office? If there was no specific test (for dementia in the office) the diagnosis is questionable. Likewise with Dr Google, who will fill your head with fear, probably better to stay away from it. The neurologist is the preferred next step here.Took DW to her new primary care physician. She was out to the ER at week ago for a migraine. They did a CT to be sure she hadn't had a stroke. They noticed her brain had atrophy too advanced for her 59 years. The ER doc suggested a neurologist appointment, scheduled for a couple of weeks out. He didn't have any opinion on what it was and said it might not be anything.
Of course consulting Dr. Google brings up terrible results, dementia, Parkinson's and other horrible things that no one wants to hear. Then just as the ER doc said, it could be normal for her.
We'd stayed pretty calm about the unknown, just wait for the neurologist to let her know what's going on. Today this new doc just blurted out, "you probably have dementia". While possibly true, she's not a neurologist or specialist. DW probably took it better than me. Not really, she's having a panic attack as I write this.

Last night we went to see Alice Cooper at the Warfield. I guess Alice isn't an ER kind of guy as he is still rocking it at age 68.
