whereas the 20 hour fast doesn't usually bother me. I really like to just put lots of good food in front of myself and eat unlimited quantities of everything that tastes good.

What are these "memory pills" people are talking about? Is it a joke I've missed somewhere?
(If there were any worth to the jellyfish extracts, etc. that are pushed via TV to credulous old people, they wouldn't be sold over the counter).
When I started, it was because I felt so much better from a digestive system standpoint. It was an accident in that DW was gone every other week in a caregiver role and I was a lazy cook. But I don't need to shed any weight either. Only later did I discover it was called I.F. Then I learned of the autolysis effects, which I think has reasonable basis in fact as opposed to so many other observational correlations/recommendations that change every week.I've been doing an 8 hour window for about 4 months. Not doing it for weight loss but more for possibly fighting early cancer cells. Cancer is all over my family and I've already had it once. Luckily caught early.

Question - do you notice any definite noticeable benefits from the chaga, or do you just use it for long-term protection? I ask because a friend of mine is considering trying chaga for muscle inflammation issues he has, and he asked me what I thought of it. So I'd like to hear from someone who has actually tried it. We do have it growing around here on birch trees also. Thanks.

Some people seem so negative and full of anger, I don't know but that can't be good for one's overall health.

No alcohol, no soda, strictly water. Eat high protein meals as often as possible, no to low-carbs as often as possible. Fail on a weekly basis, but that's why I aim high.
