I think this is the right thread for this...

Bringing this up for a recap.

It's been 2.5 months since I had the heart procedure to shut down the circuit that, on occasion, presented me with SVT. The good news is that there has been no recurrence of SVT since the procedure and I am doing all the exercises I did before and even more. My pulse rate is about 55 BPM at rest and averaging about 110 BPM while briskly walking or doing yard work. Not once has it gone into the "you are passing out" ranges. :)

I monitor my pulse rate with a Fitbit Versa and have it on constantly.

So as far as I am concerned, the surgical procedure was a success.

Faster, better looking, more agile....... One can dream!

Terrific!!

Now, if you come up with a solution for any other effects of aging, let us know. A lot of us are battling this sort of stuff. An instant cure for arthritis would be a good start. And I suspect that some of us would like to get rid of sciatica.... :ROFLMAO: Well, one can dream.

I use a CBD ointment with a small amount of THC in it for arthritis and other aches and pain. It works within minutes.

I don’t think they can ship it because of the Thc. It’s legal in our state. Without the Thc the CBD ointment doesn’t work.

Great. I haven't had another heart racing episode since Nov 1st, 2018. My cardiologist suspected SVT. Perhaps getting off caffeine, chocolate and limiting alcohol has helped my situation. Time will tell the tale......

Had a tooth pulled and bone graft done yesterday. First step for an implant. My 3rd one. Just another sign of aging I guess........

Great news, indeed!!

Where can a person find something like this? Online?
You can ship CBD to all 50 states because hemp is now legal. If you want THC:CBD you need to be in a legal state.

I know many people who think straight CBD is as good as a THC:CBD mix.

ETA: If you are in a legal cannabis state a dispensary will also have CBD products. Other states have it in health food places, head shops.

We tried CBD only and it didn’t work.

That's your experience. People have different reactions to CBD or CBD:THC mixtures of different ratios. Personally I can't tell any difference between a straight CBD or a 1:1 mixture or a 4:1. Right now I'm trying flower from a strain that is 2:1. I think the whole plant is better medicine. However....

I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from trying straight CBD as it helps millions.

Monday, at the age of 75, DW went to a marijuana dispensary for the first time in her life. She ended up getting come CBD ointment with THC. It was an interesting experience.
Well I am also feeling the effects of aging. When I bought the 2 batteries for the switch engine, the kid brought from the store them to the car with one in each hand. They weigh about 60 pounds each. Well, I took them out one at a time to put them in my trunk, and pulled some muscles in my back.. A week later I am still a bit sore, but it will go away soon, I hope.

That is wonderful news, Aja8888!

I was treated for Atrial Flutter for almost 5 years. My cardiologist told me in January 2019, that they do not think that I have it. They think that it was a false reading. I wore a heart event monitor for a month and nothing showed up. He stopped my medications, so I am now medication free again.

Great news and to be off those meds!

Had another episode last night. This time exactly like my first one back in Oct of last year. In bed watching tv and dozing off. Look up and tv is blurry along with a faster than normal heart rate(lasted about 5 min). I have a Kardia Mobile device so recorded the event in progress. My heart rate was 115 bpm and gave an 'unclassified' result. I think anytime your heart rate is over 100 bpm.... that is the default reading. But got the reading and forwarded it via email to my cardiologist. Will call him this morning making sure he got it.

So first episode in over 5 months. Three total over a 6 month period. Was hoping cutting out caffeine, chocolate and reducing alcohol might keep it at bay. The dr suspected SVT when I talked to him in January. Will be interesting where we go from here. Odd thing about all this......the 2 blurry vision episodes occurred while stretched out and dozing off. And it was most certainly blurred vision, not tired eyes.

Sorry to hear that your irregular heart rate has returned. Good that you have been able to forward the trace onto you doctor. Unclassified I think means a heart rate over 100 or under 50 with no AFib detected.

Let us know what the doc says.

Doc got back with me and said the test looked okay. Said the tachycardia I'm having is probably secondary to something else.....possibly mini strokes. Advised seeing a family doctor which I'm sure will lead to neurologist. Not exactly the news I wanted to hear but if it turns out to be that...... at least I'm getting warning signals. So have an appointment later today with new family doctor. One he recommended. I wasn't impressed with my old one.

My current heart rate when walking the dog is 110 - 115 BPM, now monitored constantly with my Fitbit. Normal resting is under 60. When my SVT kicked in last Fall, I recorded several episodes over 200 BPM, sustained for almost 20 minutes each. That's what got me the ablation procedure approval.

Let us know how things go.

That doesn’t sound like the sort of news you wanted to hear, but as you say, it is good that you are getting warning signals.

All the best going forward :flowers:

Somehow I missed reading this update. I hope you get it figured out if, in fact, it is stroke related. Sounds much different than typical SVT related causes.
