Dropped $10k at charity auction the other to surprise our 16 year old to meet her favorite pro athlete, hang out on field before game, watch game in a suite, team jerseys, blah, blah, blah. Will be a nice family memory (hopefully). At least some of it will be tax deductible.

Just hit a new all time high NW and a new $million multiple.
DW recently upgraded her iPhone from 6s to 11, and we have an Amish made king bed on order that she has wanted for years.
I have been eyeing a $1000 piece of art glass, and just yesterday a photographer friend let me know about a Nikon D850 body for sale used but virtually new-in-box. $500 off the recently reduced list price.
It still feels like grinding the gears to spend like that, but what's the $ for anyway?

Nice deal! It's not really blowing dough - it's a necessity.

Xmas has begun. Presents for family, friends, daycare, boss, neighbors, hosting xmas party, secret santas, decorations, xmas baking, xmas cards and stamps, xmas events like Santa Train Holiday Train, Tree Lighting ceremonies, candy canes, wreathes and porch xmas plants. We donate a lot to vets and I lose my voice ringing the bell every year to offset the Glutony.

We pay for all of this with the Credit Card rewards we built up over the year on both Freedoms, and my Amazon cards points. Makes the outflow manageable without really affecting cash flow.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd pay $110 for a sweatshirt with a hood attached, AKA a "hoodie". But I made up my mind last Monday at the gym, where in spite of doing a full workout I left here feeling colder than when I went in because they keep the temperature too low. For me anyway. Others seem comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt, but I also see others like me in long pants and flannel shirts, and a few people in sweatshirts. And I'm still cold. So it was either this or find a new gym and I like everything else about the place.

This sweatshirt is one made by Milwaukee Electric and is heated. A few weeks ago I bought two of their heated jackets (one for DW) and I liked that so much I had no reservations about buying this. My initial impressions are that it is well made and fits well. While I haven't worn it outside of the house yet (it was just delivered this evening) it fits under the jacket and I'm gonna be toasty warm when outside THIS winter!
