We transplanted our tomatoes out to the garden today - 13 of them. We're still waiting for the last two to get big enough to put out. We've got Sungold, San Marzano, Principe Borghese, Mortgage Lifter and a golf-ball sized volunteer. We grow them all from seed. This year, we are trying red plastic under the plants. It is said to improve productivity. Now we need to convince someone to take all the extra seedlings we grew (I usually start a couple more seeds than I anticipate planting out, just in case some don't make it.)
We also planted out the bell peppers, jalapenos, brussels sprouts and thyme. Sometime next week we'll put out the eggplants. We need to wait for the flea beetles to die down before we do that. I'm also hoping to put out the poblanos and cubanelles within the next two weeks. I just started some kale seeds under the lights indoors. We'll see how it goes.
