Unfortunately, the vast majority of comedians rely on profanities for most of their acts. I'm no prude, but that's just not funny to me. I don't mind the occasional curse word, but if that's their entire act I lose interest quickly. People like Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy are two prime examples. If they're in a setting that prevents them from swearing (a movie or TV show), they can be hilarious. But without a little control, they're just offensive. Swearing is so pervasive that I rarely watch stand up comedy shows anymore.
I wish there were more "clean" comedians. The best comedians find humor in every day life situations. Insults and vulgar language are not funny (IMHO).
