Most Annoying Commercial

I don't see any commercials on TV. That's because I stopped watching TV several years ago, in large part because of the stupid commercials. The content wasn't anything to brag about either.

Around here, it’s all the personal injury lawyer commercials. They’re on all the time.

+1 on this and add any direct to consumer drug marketing.

Both of these types of advertising are not legal in Canada nor are those advertising healthcare facilities but due to our proximity to the border we get direct US channels from Buffalo and Detroit so have the privilege of seeing them.

I do like the Mr. Mayhem commercials.
I still cannot recall which insurance company he is advertising for. I don't care either.

I'd like to skip all theMedicare, drug, reverse mortgage, etc ones. Even the Super Bowl commercials don't seem cute or clever anymore.

Don't know if this has been covered before - but what is the most annoying commercial to you. Without a doubt to me it is anything by Liberty Mutual In. Seemingly an ad on every break. Across all media they have almost 500 per day. I wouldn't buy their product if it was free. Rant over

that's EZ....any of the umpteen medicare advantage ads. i thought...hoped....they'd disappear once the enrollment period ended last year. no such luck. most of the TV we watch is recorded so we can fast-forward thru the ads. not so with daytime TV on the GameShow Network.

Not a specific commercial, but….I watched the ALDS Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays game today on the MLB Network. Two things really got me annoyed:

- they would do a split screen some of the time between pitches. On one half was the batter doing what batters do between pitches. The other half had a short commercial showing simultaneously.
- in a few other cases they just went from a batter with, say a 2-2 count to a normal length commercial or two before returning to the batter for the rest of his at bat.

I don’t enjoy, but can accept, commercials between innings or when there is a pitching change, time-out to replace an injured player, etc. But commercials during at bats is just wrong! (And -yes- I’ll put up with it for as long as the Sox are still playing in the post-season, I’m ashamed to say.)

The same crap is going on during golf tournaments with 2/3 the screen being a commercial and 1/3 being the golf match. Even on a big screen TV, 1/3 is so small you lose the detail view.

I was trying to watch that Sox game tonight and i damn near turned it off due to the split screen commercials.

Since online gambling is now legal in Michigan it has to be the commercials for online gambling.

For years Vince Van Patten of the Van Patten acting family was the spokesman/commercial image for the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee. The casino always showed Vince decked out in a tuxedo with an untied bowtie draped around his neck, Mr. High Roller.

I've been in a few Midwestern casinos, and I've never seen anyone there in a tux.

AT & T has a neat advert. Where internet is show this friend or daughter had a baby in her arms while her friend or daughter was looking ad her film of the baby.

Since I despise commercials, and what I consider to be attempted brainwashing by commercials, I don't listen to any of them at all.

I either put them on "mute", or turn the television off and do something else. Usually the latter.
