2022 Investment Performance Thread

-3.3% on a 30/70 AA.

You mean it looks emptier. ;)

I guess I will keep my current GM, Nissan, and Honda cars longer.

Lol!
Well, you can look at those two ways. I could have bought more Lamborghini with the money I lost, and the lot would be fuller. Lol

Yeah right. Lambo parking lot half-empty vs. half-full viewpoint.

Some people are just happy to have a driveway to park their clunker. When doing road treks in Europe, my main concern with finding a place to stay is where to park the car.

Of course, there are places in the US where it's the same. My nephew makes good money being a pharmacist/manager in Manhattan, and he does not have a car because it costs too much to park.

Ytd -6.01%. 61/37/2. Eod 2/28/2022

Down a bit over 7% with 75/25 split. Tips vs bonds and big oil vs EVs would have been less costly at least short term.

As of the end of Feb -7.38% ytd. AA 85/15.

Yikes down, per Personal Capital, -8.5% <87% equities. I am not certain, without doing more math, that PC adjusts for covered call positions which have substantially offset 1/6 of our equity exposure. Need to check this....

-5.9% on AA 71/18/11. Cash is temporarily high to buy some land this month.

I don't break out living expenses, which at this point should be less than 0.50%. That said when I last checked a day or two ago, I was down overall between 5% and 6%.

During February I moved from 20% equities to 27%, and from 30% cash to 21%. That means heading to my new heavier equities allocation, about a third of the money earmarked to equities is yet to be deployed.

Of the newer tech an disruptive stocks I have been playing catch the falling knife with, I am down about 11%.

Jan: -8.62% as interest rates are on the move, FOMC rate hike talk, Ukrainian invasion fears, and Omicron Virus continues to run rampant.
Feb: -11.48% What goes up, must come down? Lots of uncertainty, I know I am feeling the same as the market. A sad month for some indeed as the war machine moves on. If I look at the longer term 8yr avg it makes me "feel better' averaging +27% returns.

Down about 3%. Started the year with 40% equities, now at 44%.

Down 7.8% YTD on my 70/30. Not so much fun to report results these days.

401(k): -9.5% YTD. Things look a little rosier at +7.34% if I use a 1-year timeframe (going back to March 2021). I think I prefer to look at that instead!

Probably similar results for my brokerage, since I tend to use a similar strategy for both accounts.

Oh well. I subscribe to the long-term buy-and-hold approach anyway; I knew a dip was coming sooner or later. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-4.3% About 55/45. Canadian stocks (around 10% of my holdings) are still up at +5.14%.

Just checked my Schwab accounts - UP 1.22% YTD. Has something to do with the energy stocks and energy ETF's I bought mid last year.

I’m down 12.9% YTD with an AA of 100% equities.

I was up ~25% last year so hanging in there for next 35+ years.

Canada and Australia held up. Maybe if you speak English in an interesting way, the market gods spared you.
