Don't look at your investments too closely.

I have been checking daily, trend analysis and research on all. Sell or buy more when required. Been doing this Fire'd in 2012. Don't need to do this anymore but the process is in my blood. Love it....Mostly in cash now and not buying anything until S&P 3000 and will consider..

    Is the realestate bubble bursting?

In my area the price of homes is commensurate with the crime rate in NYC. Housing prices are through the roof but people are not selling thus low inventory. Younger folks will never and I really mean never be able to afford to live in the town in which they were raised or even nearby. (Jersey...

Cut Expenses? To enjoy being a FIRE member you should never have to cut back on expenses. Between pension, SS, dividends and capital gains my annual income is much more than my previous salary. That is what a happy FIRE member should always first consider....before hanging it up.....IMO

Cathie Wood, not possible to pick stocks

Cathy Wood comments Remember when Amazon was $18.00. People claimed it was a loss. CW is an open minded investor, risk adverse and transparent. The people who invest with her are told by her that you will become wealthy in time or will lose your investment. How many other investment analysts...

    I'd love some opinions....

Social Security looking at your financial situation my recommendation is to delay until 70. In the three years after 67 you will receive a nice 8% annual increase plus COLA. This year it was 6.8%. Combine the two and of course have a 14% return on your investment. Guaranteed!!!!!!!!! Even if...

Better Stocks Than Bonds in Retirement

I don't invest in bonds but use stocks as bond substitutes meaning I really don't expect much appreciation but collect the dividend. VZ would be a prime example paying 5% presently. Use DX paying 9% paying monthly as well as Lumen Technologies as examples. Good luck to all.

What do you take to help you sleep?

Try an anti-depressant called Mirtazapine at a low dose. Very effective and no side effects and so low a dose it is not considered therapeutic except for sleep (off label). Works like a dream. If you can fall asleep and then wake up around 2 am take one and you will sleep like a baby. Talk to...
