If I switch Medicare supplement providers do I have contact old provider to cancel or is it like when you switch drug companies in new year the previous provider is automatically cancelled.
If it is my responsibility, is it by certified letter or can I email them?
If I go through a supplement broker, will they take on that responsibility.
I did send an email to Bankers Fidelity to find out the process but have not heard back.
Thank you

What works for me is just ordering meds and let the pharmacy/supplement folks contact my doctor to approve. Since you didn't pay your statement, I would assume that you aren't on the plan anymore.

When I changed Part G providers a few years ago, it was required to notify them in writing. My agent took care of it. There may have been a form I had to fill out. You could contact your local SHIP office for advice and the process.
