Crazy Advertising

Just found out I can choose the kind of advertising I "want" to see on Google, by going to my "profile" and choosing the things I'm interested in.

Now THAT is awesome.

At first I was annoyed and a bit scared when FB started offering me ads, and the choice of customizing them. Then I realized there was something in it for me, since the Amethysts can be hard to shop for.

Since I've been rejecting 99.999% of the offered ads, the few that survive have been genuinely interesting -- and have caused me to buy a small number of successful gifts. I do not think I would have found these sites on my own.

I got a good laugh out of FB one day, when it recommended three pages I might like:
