Here's a guy who retired in the late 60's, trekked up to Alaska, and carved out a home and life in Alaska for the next 35 years. An axe, a file, and a pan, and you could quit your job today too!

But really, this is a great documentary about a man who said screw it all, and tested himself by going back to the basics. It's a great show to watch, and I plan on using it as motivation to not become the Flying Purple Consumer Monster or its henchmen Debt Boy.

I should also mention that it's free from Google's video site. Free is good!

Didn't work out so well for Chris McCandless, aka Alexander Supertramp.

It worked out well for every good guy in every Louis L'amour book I remember reading.
