We have had a QX60 for about 3 years. It is not good. It was cheap at about 15% off MSRP but it's a piece. Needed a new trainny at 10k miles. The engine is so under powered. Really disappointed overall. We got the fully loaded, every single option, model so lots of nice little features but overall a piece of....

Yes, she was driving a Yugo.

Reminds of me of late 80's in So Cal an RV dealership ran a promo to buy an RV and get a free Yugo. I always found that funny. However, in hindsight it makes sense as they were only $4k or $5k so not much of a perk on a $400k RV.

I have seen other stories like yours during my research. Even the MDX seems to have some issues (transmission). We have owned two 4runners and they both were bullet proof. Current 98' 4Runner has 200K and still running strong. Wife has concerns that new 4Runners have just gotten too big in size.

I think the 4Runner is much more of a truck ride so I think they are different vehicles. They are great, of course, but just different than MDX or QX60 in my opinion. If I had to do it again I would go MDX. We had one in the past and it was a great all around car. Have owned several Acuras and always been pleased with them.
