If your taxes are simple almost of them have a free version online. Usually the fed is free but the state costs. A lot of your banks and brokerage sites have links.
I've used this one for many years, but I think they got swallowed by intuit.
I don't use it for my state tax because there is a fee for that and my state has a website that you can use to file for free.
Our own taxes are not complicated at all but I also use it when I help my son file his taxes. He's self employed with a Schedule C, Self Employment tax, depreciation and all that other stuff for self employed.
