We are planning a trip to French Polynesia next september. 21 days in Moorea, Huahine, Bora Bora, Maupiti, Raiatea, Tahaa and Tahiti. We have been dreaming of this trip for many years. We plan on biking, snorkeling, exploring the islands. For the most part, we are staying away from the big hotels and will be staying in family pensions.
We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary as a couple as well as ER. Anyone else traveled to those islands?

I have been to Moorea (and Tahiti just passing through to Moorea)..I loved it. Unfortunately for DW, we visited in March and it was a tad humid for her liking. Even a tad humid for mine some nights.

Have fun!

Most people going to that many places are doing it on the luxury cruise ship, Paul Gauguin. It's the most efficient way of traveling the region, but is fairly expensive at around $5K per person average. See VacationsToGo.com

We will be using air tahiti multi island pass which provides air transportation to all these islands.

I heard that Bora Bora was twice as good as Bora.

Stopped in Tahiti in early 1963, on my way to Europe by ship from Oz....back when Quinn's Bar https://holidaymag.wordpress.com/20...-bar-in-the-world-by-randolph-wolfe-may-1968/ and Lafayette's https://www.tahitiheritage.pf/dancing-lafayette-arue/ were still standing/operational.........(went to both).

Having been an Adventures in Paradise fan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventures_in_Paradise_(TV_series), and having recently come from the then almost deserted beaches of northern Queensland, Tahiti was one of the biggest disappointments of my (then) young life.

DH and I did the Paul Gaugin and spent an extra 4 nights in Bora Bora. Loved both Moorea and Bora Bora, but Bora Bora was our favorite. We got to experience some cool local culture (outrigger races, cultural dance competition), see both islands, and dive and snorkel in their waters. The marine life and water clarity were spectacular! If you like beautiful beaches with warm, clear water and lots of sea life, you will love it! Eating out is expensive but food was very good.

PS - we have been all over the world and it's hard for me to imagine being disappointed with Bora Bora. Moorea is a bit more commercial but still beautiful. Enjoy!

Never got to Bora Bora. but Papeete at that time stunk of copra, even when moored quite a way offshore.......didn't much care for Tahiti's black sand beaches either, after the (then) pristine ones up around Cairns.

I spent a week in Tahiti , a week in Moorea and a week in Bora Bora several years ago . Tahiti was not my favorite but Moorea and Bora Bora are gorgeous .
