Hedging future trip to England

I always bring home enough foreign cash to get me through my arrival day, maybe two days. After that I just go to a local bank and use their ATM to get more.

The only downside of holding foreign currency for me is that sometimes I either forget about it or delay my next visit to a country too long.
Anyone need any Deutschmarks or Belgian Francs?

Wise Debit Card

I looked into wise and found some not so good reviews. Some people stated that customer service was nonexistent when they had balances they somehow could not access on the card.

In theory it sounds good and may work well for you.

I want to avoid any headaches if the above is even half true.

I don't doubt it, but I've been using it for many years and never the slightest problem. Nothing is perfect, but I think it's the best service of its type.

Never had a problem over the years I’ve used it and never heard of others having issues on the expat forums I hang out on. But no company is perfect so I am sure that there are problems.
