Help with Iphone email Issue

I get this error frequently while trying to use my iphone to read email. I checked some help forums but those solutions were not effective. It’s AOL <blush> on an iphone 6 <blush>.

“This message has not been downloaded from the server.”

Are you using AOL app, or using webmail.aol.com? I also still use my 25+ year old AOL account as my primary email.

I get it occasionally. I just refresh and the email will eventually appear. I am on an iPhone 12 though and use gmail.
