Unfortunately, we have not been able to grow a decent garden. We are surrounded by large fir trees so we only get 2-3 hours of direct sunlight each day. I've managed to keep the deer out with a fence around the garden, but the rabbits still dig under the fence and snack. The garden is usually so poor anyway I haven't bothered trying to keep them out.
I haven't even been able to grow radishes. They just bolt with big leaves and never produce bulbs. Green onions just stay tiny little things.
Lettuce does OK, but you can only eat so much lettuce.
Potatoes seem to do reasonably well. We didn't have time to plant a garden this year, and yet a whole crop of potatoes grew from taters we must have missed the previous year. Best harvest ever from a garden we didn't plant, water, or maintain.
