Is there a way to make moving expenses benefit me (or at least hurt less)?

With moving expenses no longer tax deductible, are there other ways to use moving expenses to my benefit?

The only thing I know of is some companies for some employees will offer or be willing to negotiate on a moving bonus. So they'll pay you $5K, grossed up for taxes, or something like that. It happened for software engineers when I was working; not sure how common it is in other industries or if it is still done.

It was deductible last year on our state taxes at least.
