And that house--saves serious money on fixtures by avoiding that indoor plumbing! We'd probably need to make those "hedonistic adjustments" before comparing prices with today.

The official consumer price inflation between 1934 and 2014 has been 1667%. Most of the prices in the ads for things that can still be bought today look to hew pretty close to that inflation figure, though it might understate things by a little (maybe 10% or so).
 
Love that women's sailor outfit complete with bell bottoms and cap! I need to get one of those.
