NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center released a 3-minute video of the evolution of the moon. The early formation of the solar system was a bit violent.

One technical inaccuracy there, it did not explain where the face (man in moon) came from.
More seriously, once I saw a simple artist conception of the Earth a few billion years ago -- a lot like the beginning of this video. It's pretty obvious from common science knowledge that this has happened but the visual of it brought home to me how there was absolutely no life forms on Earth then. We've come a long way. I sometimes wonder what life forms will be here in another billion years. How will the Earth change physically and how will we evolve physically and mentally?

I loved it, Walt! Our poor moon has sure been through the mill, hasn't it. Very well done video IMO and I enjoyed watching it.
