PenFed Sucks

1st Tech has a fee for their Mastercard?

No, they don’t. Ok, it’s coming back to me. I had accounts with them since the mid-90s. After divorce I closed the joint checking and kept a savings account and CC. I closed the CC and then they charged me an inactivity fee for the savings account, so I closed that account too.

I used them for a mortgage in the past and wanted to keep an account in case I refinanced with them in the future. But much like PenFed they haven’t been competitive lately.

Edit to add: Audrey has a better explanation. I had the no fee CC.

All closed, including the VISA.

Received the PenFed check for outstanding balance.

One small step in my account simplification project.
