I got a phone call from a woman claiming to be from Munder Funds and
wanting my proxy vote. I said I'd vote for the recommendations and
she said ok and THEN wanted to "verify" me, which started by asking me
for spelling of name, address, etc. I never let it get beyond that. Seems
VERY odd to me that they'd ask for my vote BEFORE verifying me, and
that they'd take the trouble to telephone individual shareholders (never
mind ones with holdings as small as mine, and which I coincidentally
sold a couple weeks ago). Got a similar call today and told them to
remove my name.
Sound like phishing ? Anyone else ever gotten a call from a mutual fund
wanting to get your voting instructions ?
