Saint Nicholas of Myra, the original Santa Claus, was the patron saint of children, thieves and pawnbrokers.

Based on previous surveys, 17 percent of you will embarrass yourselves in some way at your office Christmas party.

The name of the church in my part of the swamp(went in Katrina) - my Sister attended when she visited us. I'm not Catholic - but I may become a Pats fan after the Saint's game against Philly yesterday.

Sooo - who is the patron Saint of lost causes - being a Saint's fan AND one of my items for tomorrow's Christmas dinner(should I find one) is lemon creme pie for the kids who don't like pumkin.

heh heh heh - I will look tomorrow - not today!

P.S. 8 inches of snow yesterday - white Christmas.

So, he was the patron saint of my buddy's kids! They used to steal his band equipment and instruments and haul them to the pawn shop to get dope money.

My neighbor's relatives brought him a sh*t load of Christmas cookies and candies yesterday. 15 minutes later, our doorbell rang.....he 're-gifted' them all to us!!! I LOVE re-gifted stuff!!!

Been there....do that! Did it today! Went to the local tombstone shop, and bought my Mom a statue for the garden....St. Fiacre. "He is most renowned as the patron saint of growing food and medicinal plants, sometimes more broadly referred to as simply gardening." (Wikipedia)

We came close......our Christmas Eve dinner was home-made bratwurst on rolls with horseradish mustard! (part of the 1/2 pig I won a couple of weeks ago) (bratwurst.....made up of everything but the oink!)
