My wife is Medicare Pre 65 due to disability. The only supplement, in Iowa, for her is BCBS plan A at the standard rate $285. Although she has been cancer free over two years she still has a yearly appointment so she had to check the box .........Have you consulted a doctor in the last two years for cancer?
At 65, Feb 2018 she will be able to start over on Medicare.
We plan on getting the A plan, although she is doing so well, just to have that secure feeling.
Was wondering if there is anyone on Medicare disability and have you gambled and not gotten the insurance?
Also have you canceled the insurance a few months prior to turning 65 if all is going well?
My understanding for Medicare, at 65, is you could have a break in coverage for medical but no break in RX coverage or could be a penalty.
