price question

What did you do move into??

Stable value, cash, floating rate funds and TIPS.

Would you still have dumped the bond funds if you were planning not to sell in the next 7 years?

Yes.

Regarding the smaller sales moves over time. I do that in case I screw up on some order. Then I've only made one small mistake and not screwed up 10 years worth of savings during an order that took 3 minutes to make. I try not to move around more than $25K at in any one day for any asset class.

Why does your Google link show a -2.28% 5 year return and Schwab link show a 3.27% 5 year return?

and this is from the VanGuard sight..

Maybe the Google link is only comparing share price without taking dividends into consideration:confused::confused:??

I do believe there is a correlation between investment grade mutual bond funds and the price of TNX..When TNX closes up like it did today my bond fund values go down..When TNX closes down my bond fund closes up..So if there is a large movement in TNX i can know whether an investment grade bond fund will close up or down..There have been several days lately that TNX has made big moves each way and my bond fund has moved as much as $5000.00 opposite the direction of TNX..

Not sure. As of today, I'm seeing -0.83% over the past 5 years, but a YTD return of -3.94%.

It seems I can't post a screenshot here to illustrate, which would certainly help us refer to the same chart :/
