When I'd listen to ELP my father would ask if that was Charles Aznavour singing. Having yet to hear Aznavour myself I can only guess he and Greg Lake had similar singing voices.

RIP. I loved King Crimson and ELP. Both bands were very influential in my ventures into becoming a 21st Century Schizoid Man.

In the early 90's, ELP did an in-store performance in Los Angeles to mark the release of the "Return Of The Manticore" box set. It was broadcast live on one of the local rock stations, and was among the best sound I think I have ever heard from an in-store set.
