Champion boxer Pernell Whitaker stuck and killed by a car. DW and I were at his first pro fight at MSG many years ago.

Well that sucks and what a way to go.

Pernell was a great fighter from an era of great fighters in his weight classes. I remember the classic bout between him and Chavez.

I have been to the IBHOF in upstate NY a few times, once for an inaugural weekend. I haven't been there since he was inducted though.
