On CNBC this morning, they were using Brittney Spears "Crazy" as bumper music while teasing a story about Elon's tweets.
Well, from what I heard today he could be held personally liable in civil court. And also if shareholder money is used perhaps the Board will be forced to put this spoiled brat in the corner for time out - lol.Yeah - but will he just use "shareholder money" to pay any fines? Not much of a disincentive.

Apple and Google management and toss in Amazon/Bezos as well hasn't acted irradically un unprofessionally like Musk has. They've all been under great pressure, they've all had great visions, but they haven't acted like a child throwing a temper tantrum when things didn't go their way, at least not publically.I'm just glad I got in at $173/share. (I didn't put a lot into it, less than I put into Apple and Google years earlier. Now all three together have grown to about 5% of our portfolio, but originally they were more like 1-2%.)
I'm not crazy about Musk's PR "strategy", but like Apple and Google, I like the pioneering work the company has done in fields other than what they're best known for, in Tesla's case, solar panels and storage batteries. I feel like those will be pivotal to reducing energy costs and fossil fuel use.

I have no idea if Mr. Musk will succeed in making Tesla a profitable ongoing presences in the auto industry. I don't own the individual stock and have no plans to do so. But, Must does things that seasoned experts would never try. The guys and gals at CNN? They can go jump on trampolines.

For those who might have concerns or be interested, as mentioned in an earlier thread, understanding the reason for SEC rule 10b-11, might help when considering any stock that is showing unusual volatility.
But it was Mr. Musk’s “funding secured” statement on Twitter that may put the iconoclastic founder most at risk. He provided no details about how much funding had been secured, from whom or under what conditions. His email to employees did not mention anything about the funding.

Stock continuing to be a knife drop from the $380 at tweet time, pushing near $300 today and with big volume. Maybe index funds bailing due to talk of going private (many can't hold private stock), or maybe the shine on Musk finally coming off?
