My top 10 changes every day, but the song "Watching The Wheels" by John Lennon is my early retirement anthem. Love the line "No longer riding on the merry-go-round - I just had to let it go"

I listened to this song on the day I retired. Definately related to the merry-go-round lyric. Here's another good one John gave us.

John Lennon - Imagine - YouTube

Statesboro Blues is the tune I left with on my last day of work. Freedom on that final drive away!

Freebird, was the first song on the radio I remember hearing, driving to our honeymoon suite. It just made me cry like a baby at age 30, with thoughts that life as I knew it would never be the same. That was 32 years ago, and 32 years of bliss with my bride.

This is the one you like after all the great oldies?

I really like a lot of the music posted here. Dylan, Joni Michell, Annie Lennox, all the stuff HFWR posts, lots of Purron's too. Brings me back. But Alvin Lee - and Ten Years After - just stir up some very nice memories, for which I am always grateful.

It's funny, because DW sees me smile when I am reading posts or posting and she thinks it is some weird thing when usually it is just a song and a good memory...
