USPS question

Last week I sent item to through the mail to a guy on the east. After we started visiting about the item it wasn't what he wanted.

So, when he got it, he refused the item. The status says refused, so will that item just be returned to me, back to sender. He said in a PM that the same tracking # will be used coming back to me that I had when I shipped it to him.

Will there be a charge when it returns back to me if that is the case?
