What do you drive?

2012 BMW X5d (50,000 miles and just getting warmed up)
2001 BMW 330ci convertible (49,000 miles)
1997 Porsche 993 C4S (14,500 miles)

Nice! Especially the '97 993 with crazy low miles!! Vert or coupe?

We have a 2016 Mini Clubman w/under 6k, (DWs, retired) '99 Dakota king cab w/about 162k, knock about work truck, airport vehicle, (bought in 2006 for $4k with 90k on it. Costs nothing to upkeep, except replaced shocks with Monroe lifetime ones when bought and all ball joints, & had to replace the AC compressor and heater core 3 years ago, all which I did myself) and my DD '02 996 coupe with 58k on it. And DS drives our '08 Clubman S w/61k miles, while buying it from us over time, so technically still mine. I have to use rental and company vehicles often.

Coupe: actually, I believe Porsche only made the C4 as a convertible, but not wide body S. Mine is Arena Red/Cashmere with factory aero kit. I am the original owner.

This is my daily driver

2015 Lexus IS 250 Pretty red car. 30,000 miles or so. We use my car for most driving, my DH has a truck.

Cars or pickup trucks or suburban.

Public transport - owning a car is completely unnecessary where I live (and very expensive due to taxes + parking costs).

2011 Mini Cooper S
2008 Honda Civic Hybrid
2001 BMW Z3

2003 GMC 4WD 1500 pickup truck, 98k miles. That was my retirement present.

2014 Honda Accord Sport 52k miles, primarily DW's daily driver if I'm not going where she's going. It gets almost twice the fuel mileage as the truck, but sometimes the truck is very handy to have around. We're currently downsizing some furniture and stuff and the truck is handy for that. No way we could do it with the Honda.

On order:
2017 Ford Explorer Limited:

Goodbye 40 MPG, hello comfort! :( :( :nonono:
Nice bike! I just sold my 2007 Triumph Tiger. The Tiger wasn't perfect, but that 1050 triple motor was close to perfection. Now I'm on a 2017 BMW GS, goodbye wheelies hello comfort.

All my vehicles are old but reliable.

2006 Cadillac DTS
2003 Chevy Silverado
1965 Chevy Impala SS convertible

A Nov '13 Kia Picanto 1.0 . The lowest fixed cost & cost per mile one can buy around here.

Since I'm doing quite a bit for miles these days, I'm looking for a small upgrade, just to get the horsepower a bit up.

You have your first car? Wow! That's cool. Mine wasn't worth having but if I could have my old favorite back, that would be sweet. It was an 1987 Grand National - it got stolen.:( When I got married 36 years ago, my wife had a 1974 Monte Carlo which was her first car. Unfortunately, finances dictated that we had to drive that one into the ground. It was a good car though.

Oh - the thread - I drive a Chevy truck and an Equinox. Thinking about getting an Impala when my lease on the truck is up.

Those Grand Nationals were supposed to be FAAAST.

When we fired we sold 2013 Audi Q5, 2013 Kia Optima and my daily driver97 Honda HX civic with 289k miles on it. Now our daily driver is our home

I drive a 2001 corvette with the top off when the weather is nice.
or a 2017 F-150 pickup truck when I need to haul something
or DW's old 2001 Acura in nasty weather
DW drives a 2012 Acura TL and sometimes the old 2001 Acura

2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-E. Ordered it last July and didn't receive it until January. Sure, it was expensive and I had no choice but to pay list price since it's a new model in very limited supply, but after analyzing all the choices I decided it was the right vehicle for me. I don't tow so the low towing capacity was not a concern, and I don't off road. For a truck, it's the perfect grocery getter. DW says she can't tell it's a pickup while riding.

I figured if I was to spend so much on a new vehicle I better do it while I still had a paycheck. No regrets and I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off.

My BIL is on his 2nd Ridgeline. It's like a big, tall comfortable, roomy heavy duty AWD sedan with a huge trunk. What sedans would be if the car companies did not feel the need to make them low sleek and aerodynamic. In a good way.

2007 Lincoln MKX 140,000 miles and the first major repair was a month ago. It was $500 for a rear wheel bearing.

2005 Lexus ES330 - 85K
2006 Toyota Sienna - 120K great rig. Kids are starting to leave the nest, but see no reason to replace this. Quite utilitarian and very comfortable on both long and short trips.

2010 Toyota Prius with ~100k miles (before that a 2005 Prius and before that a 2000 Prius). Both my father and my mother's father worked for GM. During the depression they (GM) spread the work around and helped with my mother's family's house payments so I figure I should have some loyalty and I still sometimes cringe about buying Toyotas.

But the first Japanese car we got (used in the 80s) went so long on only routine maintenance that we just couldn't go back (even though GM can now make cars that don't need major work at 80k miles.)

We're a one-car family since the kids left home but if we need another drive, DH takes his 2013 BMW touring motorcycle in good weather (we're in northern Ohio) or we borrow DS's 2006 Honda Fit (if it's available).
