15 words to add to the retirement lexicon

I fear this as much as Doughphobia, especially for some of our more frugal forum members:

4) CRLP : slang . C ash R ich, L ifestyle P oor. Acronym used to describe a person who treats retirement solely as a math problem. They have enough money, but don't use it to enjoy life.

Love it, the "to don't" list.

That was my favorite.

My retirement "to don't" list is pretty extensive!
1. Commuting anywhere during rush hour
2. Hearing the "blat" of a conventional alarm clock
3. Dragging myself to work when I am sick
4. Doing meaningless unappealing tasks
5. Traveling to someplace where I don't want to be, in order to spend 12+ hour days doing something I don't want to do
6. Spending my hard earned money on expensive formal meeting clothes that are otherwise useless to me
7. Giving presentations

It goes on, but that's a start!

Great "to don't" list, W2R! I'll add to it:

8. Writing and rewriting grant applications, papers and project reports
9. Herding cats
10. Digging my car out of a snowfall at midnight to go to work
11. Being so exhausted I wanted to curl up and cry

This was from a previously posted article:

12. Listening to someone read a Powerpoint presentation out loud.

Refiring .... I thought it could mean FIRE, go back to work, and then FIRE again.

Awesome list!
